It is a highly effective water based formula and uses safe ingredients that react violently with bed bug's exoskeleton and it therefore destroys it on contact.
SayByeBugs spray destroys bed bugs on contact, meaning they'll die right away after they're sprayed. However, sometimes it takes 10 minutes and can take even up to 60 minutes for the bed bug to die. If you have any doubts of our formula's effectiveness we suggest you trap the bed bug, spray it, check in about an hour and it will be dead.
Unlike many other sprays our spray is water based and can be safely sprayed on all surfaces without leaving any kind of stains. For clothes we recommend you get our laundry detergent and wash them to make sure you get rid of all bed bugs and their eggs.
Since it is water based and you only need to spray a light mist, it will dry off in a couple minutes. It doesn't have any odor or color, so it's safe to touch the surfaces you spray it on.

Bed bugs typically don’t feed on pets and prefer humans. Our spray is pet safe since it uses gentle ingredients with a water based formula. However we do not recommend spraying your pets with it. Spray exterminates bed bugs but also works on fleas and other pests. In case you have exotic pets such as reptiles or spiders please print our ingredient list and ask your veterinarian about it.
SayByeBugs spray is made in the US, shipped from our Chicago warehouse.
FDA doesn't approve/regulate pesticides and while EPA does, our pesticide is registration exempt under FIFRA 25(b) due to our safe ingredients.
IMPORTANT: Remember always SHAKE WELL before using the spray. If you do not shake it before spraying it might not be as effective.
For active bed bug outbreaks, thoroughly spray SayByeBugs twice daily in all potentially infested areas: pillows, mattresses, box springs, bed frames, head boards, bed rails, closets, carpeting, furniture, purses, briefcases, luggage, and all cracks and crevices where a bed bug may hide (we even got reports of bed bugs hiding behind picture frames).
If infestation persists continue to use SayByeBugs Exterminator liberally to ensure that all bed bugs and their nymphs have been contacted. Apply most of our spray in the area up to 10 feet away from your bed (or anywhere you found them) as that's where bed bugs usually hide to stay in close proximity to you. Always be aware that dormant bed bugs can live up to one year if left untreated. Because bed bugs can hide in linen and clothes make sure to either wash with our detergent or heat treat at over 118°F for 90 minutes (please be aware heat can damage certain fabrics).
We also suggest you thoroughly vacuum your whole home and especially concentrate around beds, furniture and any cracks and crevices - after you're done throw away the bag and clean the vacuum cleaner.

Although adult bed bugs may not be present, their microscopic nymphs may be. SayByeBugs eradicates adult bed bugs and their nymphs alike. Potentially infested areas include pillows, mattresses, box springs, bed frames, head boards, bed rails, closets, carpeting, furniture, purses, briefcases, luggage, and all cracks and crevices where a bed bug may hide. If you uncover your bed lining you could find their nesting grounds filled with excrement or even find a few live ones (adult females lay hundreds of eggs in their short lifetimes). You will know you’ve been bitten by a bed bug if you have several red itchy spots that are often spaced in lines. Most common place for bed bugs to bite are arms and shoulders. You might also find blood stains on your bed and your sheets. Finding fecal spots or skin from their shedding is a sure sign too.

We do not suggest using devices such as humidifiers/vaporizers. Our spray was created to be applied directly to surfaces and should be used in such a manner in order to be effective.
Even though the product is made from safe ingredients it is meant to be used on surfaces and not on humans/pets. Bed bugs don't live on people, in people's hair or pets, they might be in search for food but a bed bug won't be hiding in dog's fur. Instead you should apply the spray on the pet's bed and its surroundings.
We recommend 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) per 5 pound load.
A single bottle is usually enough to treat a small infestation of a single bed. We’d recommend getting at least 3 bottles to make sure you cover your whole room and surrounding area.
If you have bed bugs it's best to be as thorough as possible since they easily spread. The more of the house you spray the better. In general we recommend to spray at least the whole room bed bugs were found in and surrounding area.
SayByeBugs isn't meant to be sprayed directly on pets and humans. Bed bug, or otherwise known as Cimex lectularius is a bug that's evolved to feed on humans. It's been known that from time to time, if times are extremely though for the bed bug, it might infest a dog's bed but it simply wasn't engineered to navigate through dog's or cat's fur so our pets are their last resort. We do suggest you spray the pet's bed and surroundings just to be sure.

Our formula is water based so it doesn't stain, however if there's a lot of residue like dust on a surface it might concentrate it on edges of the sprayed surface as it dries off and make it seem like the surface got stained. We suggest you clean the whole surface to get rid of this issue.
The detergent may irritate sensitive skin, if you notice any rashes or other problems. Please consult with your doctor before using again.
We do not recommend spraying electrical outlets as it might be dangerous and you could short it. If you think bed bugs have infested your electrical outlets please call a professional exterminator.

In case your bank confirms it's still there contact us and we'll make sure the funds are returned to your account.
Sometimes due to various reasons your credit card might be declined for processing by our bank. There are many different reasons for that but usually it's due to either insufficient funds or information provided not matching information on the card. You can try making your purchase with another card - aside from that we unfortunatelly can't do anything about the declines.
Refunds are immediately sent to our bank for processing but it sometimes takes up to 10 days for the refund to be credited to your account. Please check for any transactions with a descriptor "Saybyebugs".
Voids are always issued for the full amount and they can also take up to 10 days to be credited to your bank account. If you aren't sure you received your money please contact your bank and confirm with them and then contact us. A void means the original transaction wasn't settled yet, so the money was never actually taken from your account. The transaction won't show on your credit card statement, though it might appear in the list of pending transactions. Please allow up to 10 days for the transaction to be fully cancelled.

Authorities from Maine have restricted sales for our products to your state as they are requiring paid registration even for products that are classified "minimum risk pesticide" by the United States Environmental Protection Agency. Since our product is classified as a minimum risk pesticide it means the EPA isn’t requiring any kind of registration due to our safe ingredients. However we want to be able to sell our product in Maine too so we are in the process of approval with them and it might take some time to allow our products to again be sold. When properly stored at room temperature SayByeBugs doesn’t have an expiration date.
Even though our product was University tested and proven to kill bed bugs on contact, bed bugs in rare cases don't seem to be effected by our spray. We have never seen such a case, however we did get a few reports from our customers. It is possible that the pest you are dealing with aren't bed bugs so make sure you properly identify the insects you are seeing. However if our product doesn't seem to work for you contact our support and we will return your money.

We do our best to dispatch all orders in less than 48 hours (except orders placed Sat/Sun and sometimes orders placed on Friday will be dispatched Monday) and then delivered in 3-9 business days. Sometimes the package that our warehouse ships gets damaged in transit. If that happened to you and you received damaged goods please call our call center and we'll either refund your order or send you a replacement - whichever suits you better.
No, freezing the spray doesn't hurt its effectiveness. Simply let the spray to unfreeze at room temperature, shake it well and it will be ready for usage.
Bed bugs mainly feed on humans and have therefore developed ways to “hitchhike” from one bedroom to another. They go on your clothes or furniture and since most of us are using taxis, going to the movies, sitting on the subway, buying used furniture, sleeping over in motels or hotels all of this makes it very easy for bed bugs to be introduced to a new home. Sometimes one of your neighbors will get them and a bed bug will find its way to your home.

In general bed bugs don’t transmit diseases, however new research is showing that in some rare cases they might transmit certain diseases.
Bed bugs in fact do mate as there are female and male bed bugs. They mate by forcibly piercing the abdomen of the female which is called traumatic insemination. They also communicate with pheromones and thus have a fairly complex mating process.
